The Military & Veteran Programs (MVP) was created in 2010 as a department solely dedicated to helping veterans, active service members, and their families achieve academic, personal, and professional success. Our department currently assists more than 3,000 military connected students in a seamless transition from military to student life by being a one stop shop to establish their educational benefits, connect them with resources, encourage campus and community engagement, and help to provide a positive student experience through degree completion an on to a successful future.
How you can make an impact
Your generosity directly impacts veterans and active service members who have sacrificed so much to protect and serve our country. They face being full time students, hold jobs, and must also provide for their families. Your support will allow us to provide essential resources and opportunities for military connected students to:
FOSTER COMMUNITY amongst military connected students during their transition to student life
HONOR military service within the Texas Tech community and recognize academic achievements
CONNECT students to resources, services and programs they need to complete their degree
SCHOLARSHIPS to ease the burden of tuition costs
Your donation will help maintain and improve Military outreach programs designed to promote student success such as:
- Green Zone Training promotes military culture awareness for faculty and staff to develop a campus community of support for military connected students
- TechVet Bootcamp provides veteran students resources that help ease the transition to student life
- Graduation Stole & Recognition Ceremony awards veterans and active service members a camo tipped stole & dependents receive a cord
- Camo to Corporate - a career series that provides valuable skills to prepare veterans for the workforce
