Description
We are the Texas Tech Men's Lacrosse Club. The Men's Lacrosse Club was founded in 1967 with the intention of bringing the game of lacrosse to West Texas. Since our founding, we have won 9 conference titles at the Division 1 level, our last being in 2005. After reviving the club from financial hardships, we now compete at the Division 3 level of the MCLA in the Lone Star Alliance.
Being our first year back, our team is full of players 100% committed to playing lacrosse and representing Texas Tech University. We all share the same goal of elevating lacrosse to the highest level possible at Texas Tech and growing the game locally here in Lubbock. Your generous donation will go directly towards this goal, and help our club reach new heights!
How You Can Make an Impact
Donations will support our team fund all costs associated with managing a collegiate lacrosse team. League dues, travel accommodation, uniforms, and equipment are all currently funded by our student athletes. Receiving funding for these items will alleviate these costs from our athletes and allow them to dedicate more focus to their craft on the field and in the classroom.
Our goal is not only to return to the success of our club's past,
but to exceed anything that has been done before. This includes returning to
the Division 1 level and competing for another conference title and battling
the best teams in the nation for a shot at the national title. We have a long
way to go - many club teams, such as the University of Texas, are fully funded
thanks to school funding and financial backers. With your help, the Texas Tech
Men's Lacrosse club can return to directly competing with teams like Texas (and
beating them).
